2019 Review and 2020 Plans

7 States, 3 National Parks, 2 National Historic Sites and 1 National Memorial

  • 7 States
    • New Mexico
    • Texas
    • Oklahoma
    • Kansas
    • Nebraska
    • South Dakota
    • North Dakota
  • 3 Nation Parks
    • Great Sand Dunes NP
    • Badlands NP
    • Theodore Roosevelt NP (both the North Unit and the South Unit)

Our full-time adventure began in May 2019. We drove for a total of 5033 miles through the rest of the year. We stayed at 15 campgrounds (2 repeats). We visited 6 of the National Park Service Sites – 3 National Parks, 2 National Historic Sites and 1 National Memorial.

We spent a little over 3 months in New Mexico as we both had jobs at Philmont Scout Ranch from late May until late August.

We also ended up spending time back in Texas to deal with “stuff” at the house and doctor/dentist appointments.

Plans for 2020 include visiting Big Bend National Park, a Grand Design (our 5th wheel manufacturer) Rally, visiting more of the western states (Colorado, Utah among those).

Another goal for 2020 would be to learn WordPress so I feel WAY more comfortable in getting blog posts up!
